Taylor Harrison have been retained by a successful, forward thinking, independent building society who as part of their succession planning are now looking to strengthen their Board through the appointment of a Non-Executive Director. This individual will help navigate the Society through an important period of transformational change as it implements a new IT system, which will underpin the next stage of its organisational development and growth. The successful candidate will also sit on the transformation-focused Board sub-Committee.
You will be a high calibre, business/functional leader, who has operated successfully at Board-level (in an executive, non-executive, or senior advisory capacity) and have implemented or overseen significant organisational/transformational change in small to medium-sized businesses.
Ideally you will be able to evidence a good understanding of digital technologies and how these can be harnessed to enhance product, distribution and customer experience, whilst delivering effective time and cost management.Bringing an independent perspective, you will constructively challenge and test proposals for strategic direction; exercise due-diligence and control over decision making and will scrutinise the performance of the Executive team, holding them to account as appropriate.
Candidates must possess the gravitas, independent judgement and tenacity to inspire confidence, challenge executive thinking and communicate with clarity and integrity.
